Depth detection Amsterdam

Hein Heun is often assigned, especially by regular partners, to perform depth detections. An depth detection is performed when the area, at depths greater than 4 meters minus ground level, is suspected of Conventional Explosives (CE). By executing an depth detection, a suspicious area can be released to the suspicious depth.

Recently we performed a depth detection in Amsterdam to reveal an area around a new sheet pile to be placed. The working site is prepared by leveling it out and by creating dragline heads to create an passable path. Tubes are placed under the CPT rack to guide the CPT cone into the water. So it can be pushed in to the bottom. After releasing the area, the new sheet pile can be safely placed into the water.

These activities are carried out under our WSCS-OCE certification. With this certificate, we can carry out depth detections with our adapted equipment and expertly trained staff. We also carry out aircraft salvages by example. We recently supported the EODD in work to excavate a World War II explosive.
