At the end of May, the canteen of tennis club Essent in Zwolle was completely destroyed by a fire. Hein Heun immediately placed fences in the difficult-to-reach area with warning ribbons to screen of the area, warn against asbestos and close the area off so that people couldn’t enter the area.

Materials containing asbestos were incorporated in the wooden building. Because the materials were found outside, a containment is not necessary and the material is classified in risk class 2 outside.

A crane was used to clean up the materials. To ensure the health of the crane operator, this crane is equipped with an overpressure cabin and a HEPA filter. This ensures that the cabin and the operator can safely perform his work. The area has been cleaned up and all released (residual) materials have been removed.

After this, an investigation was carried out by an independent laboratory. This investigation has shown that there were no asbestos-containing materials in the area and that the area was safe to enter again.
