The bridge in Gorsselseweg near Bathmen no longer met the constructive requirements. Hein Heun has been assigned to completely amovate the existing bridge construction. In order to be able to carry out the work properly, the Schipbeek canal was temporarily partially drained. In just four days, the asphalt pavement and entire bridge deck construction was removed. Furthermore, the team also partially lowered abutments and the middle support points with great precision.

Also part of this work was the preparatory work for the assembly of the new bridge deck and the renovation of the weir valve. These activities included drilling and sawing work. The village of Bathmen was avoided as much as possible when transporting the (residual) waste streams.

When carrying out these activities, our employees use the Recycle-Reduce-Reuse protocol that Hein Heun has drawn up. This is a process in which an optimal working climate is continuously looked at in which the environment comes first.
